Jason Grandin, a CPS Group Director is heading down to the Alps, and on Sunday July 22nd he is going to ride up one of the most famous mountains in the Tour de France, Alpe d'Huez. It is a bustling ski resort in winter, one of the largest ski destinations in the Alps. The ascent is 14km and famous for its 21 hairpins on the way to the finish line.
The following day (Monday 23rd July) Jason is heading to Provence very early in the morning to climb the intimidating Mont Ventoux, also known as the Giant of Provence. This is recognised as one of the hardest climbs in cycling and is a constant rise of 22km. In total he is going to climb just shy of 4,000 metres which is nearly equivalent to cycling up Mont Blanc!
