A monthly meetup for people who have an interest in JavaScript, be that working with it professionally or having it as a hobby. The meetups will generally be coding sessions, discussions, talks & workshops on various topics/frameworks.
Cardiff-JS will be joined by two guest speakers Alex Smith & Leo Stableford. Food and drink provided by us! Talks:
What is Webpack! by Alex EvansA dig into how webpack works by looking at config, plugins and real world scenarios. A great talk for anyone looking to get into webpack as a beginner or as an experienced developer.About All The Angulars by Leo StablefordIn a world of frameworks the tale of Angular is one of bad branding decisions coupled with some interesting framework design decisions. The world of Angular could appear confusing if you're unaware that it is, in fact, two separate frameworks with a common development team. The first version of Angular has been historically renamed AngularJS and is probably the Angular that most people are talking about when they use the word "Angular". The newer, shinier version of Angular is called, perhaps unhelpfully, Angular. Angular is a ground up rewrite of AngularJS and, although the two frameworks are designed to help you accomplish the same end they are very different in their implementation.Cardiff-JS will be held at CPS Group on a monthly basis with occasional coding sessions. If you or anyone you know would like to talk at one of the events please get in touch with Jack Cox on 02920 37 55 99. Your talk can be on anything, a new project you are particularly proud of, something you could use a bit of help with (Q&A's after), an emerging technology you want to look at, anything.
