The impacts of Covid-19 are continuing to be felt by UK businesses, and in order to maintain the safety and health of our most at risk all of us have been asked to take the necessary measures to prevent the further spread of infection. As much of the world retreats behind closed doors, we remain grateful that digital developments have allowed critical business functions, including hiring, to continue.

We are closely monitoring the situation as it develops, and will be following all of the government’s advice. Our London team have been working from home for a number of days and our Cardiff office is now closed. All of our team are working remotely and are contactable using our normal phone system.

During this period of unprecedented challenge, it is important to remember that there will be a time after this where we return to normality. While organisations may have to make adjustments for the time being, we encourage businesses to consider the long term in order to protect jobs, innovation and the economy once this passes.

For our clients and candidates, we would like to reassure you that CPS currently have access to all of the necessary infrastructures to facilitiate working from home. We have cancelled all face-to-face interviews and replaced these with our tried and tested video solution which allows businesses to continue with their hiring intentions.

In the last few weeks we have had an increase in requests for contractors and, thankfully, the delay to IR35 means that businesses can once again rely on flexible resources to cover any shortfall there may be in staffing. We have an extensive network of contractors available, who are eager to work and support organisations through this difficult period, so please do let us know if we can help you.

For now, we will continue to monitor the situation and take government advice. The safety and wellbeing of our staff is our number one priority and we will continue to do what we consider is the best course of action for them.

We have implemented processes that will allow our staff to work from home, so whatever the outcome, we want to ensure clients and candidates that we will be continuing with business as usual. If we can support your business at this time, please do get in touch.

Finally, we would like to wish everyone good health and sincerely hope that you stay safe through this difficult time.
