Job Title: Senior site reliability engineer
Salary: Up to £60,000pa (Dependant on experience)
Location: Cardiff, South Wales
My client is a 30-person strong fintech house in Cardiff centre, with modern offices and a unique place in the finance software market. In line with growth from government investment, a vacancy for a Senior site reliability engineer has arisen.
This role includes building and maintaining a highly available performant, and scalable service infrastructure. As a key player you’d be expected to contribute to internal tools that help improve their operations processes, manage their infrastructure, and scale systems. In doing so you’ll work closely with our product engineering teams triage production outages and carry forward action items to improve ongoing reliability.
Ideally you will have experience of most of the following:
• 3+ years Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps experience in a Linux based environment
? Strong coding skills in at least one programming or scripting language
? Strong experience in engineering and technical leadership
? Good fundamentals of TCP/IP (OSI) model and network architectures
? Expertise in configuration management software such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
? Experience in storage, computing, distributed systems, or networking
? Possess a passion for solving problems using open source software
? Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting
