Target Group provide software and services that deliver the business outcomes that their clients want. Over 50 major financial institutions across the UK, Australia and New Zealand rely on Target Group to manage their lending, investment and insurance portfolios.

The Challenge

 

Target Group approached the CPS Group in December 2015 to partner with them on an exciting and ambitious headcount growth plan. This was driven by a host of new client wins and the development of new service offerings to take to market:

 

CPS Group partnered with Target Group and their supplier list to create a marketing and recruitment plan to support them in their expansion initiative. This would generate 100 new technical roles across multiple locations in the UK. In order to achieve these ambitious business goals, CPS Group were tasked with providing the following:

 

  • Identify and prioritise the requirements, focusing on initial key hires and building a roadmap around this.
  • Create a clear marketing strategy and “elevator pitch” to position Target Group as an “employer of choice” in their industry. This consisted of:
    • Senior sponsor engagement to define “elevator pitch” and ensure this was consistent and on “brand” with Target Group.
    • Engage with Hiring Community to define individual business area requirements.
    • Create appropriate content for advertisements and social media marketing campaign.
  • Partner with Target Group HR team to formulate a mutual service level agreement with the candidate experience being the key driver.
  • Provision of a dedicated Account Manager and a scalable, technology aligned delivery team to ensure support of Target Group growth plans.

 

The Solution

 

Target Group made 85 external hires from January – December 2016. In addition, Target Group continue to focus heavily on internal staff development. This resulted in promotion opportunities for 30% of existing Target Group employees. This has enabled them to achieve the core business objectives and underpins Target Group’s 3 year growth strategy.
