Many dream of reaching the top of the business ladder: the C-Suite. For those from a technology or data background, it seems the route to the top table has become a bit easier. Tech and data-driven roles have become more prevalent, notably the role of Chief Digital Officer and Chief Data Officer. Digital transformation doesn’t just apply to organisations but also their senior management, it seems.

On Saturday 20 July 2019, the world celebrated 50 years since man first stepped foot on the moon. Half a century ago, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin emerged from Apollo Lunar Module Eagle, planted their flag and the former uttered those 11 immortal words: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” And yet man would not have taken that step without one woman: Margaret Hamilton.

For many of us, the summer months are a time of change – and several people may be moving house, graduating or starting a new job. From our headquarters in Cardiff, we’ve had plenty of time to get to know Wales’ largest city – and we think it’s a brilliant place to live and work.

Automation is coming for us all – across all industries, roles and organisations. This includes cybersecurity, but advances in automation offer something of a double-edged sword for the sector. A lot of debate centres on whether automation in cybersecurity really is for the best. As its prevalence continues to increase, now is a good time to ask this tricky question.
